Quoted rates apply to hirers who are 25 years or over. Drivers aged 21 – 24 will incur an additional insurance charge of £5 per day.
Hire Vehicles for European Travel

Vehicle Hirer's Responsibilities
- A valid operator's licence is the responsibility of the hirer.
- Only where the hirer possesses a goods vehicle operating licence may goods in trade be carried. Where a vehicle is stopped by the ministry and no operators licence found, both load and vehicle are permanently confiscated.
- Unless the hire is intended for an individual house move, a copy of a valid operator’s licence must be produced before hire of a 7.5T vehicle can commence.
- The hirer is required to check tyre pressure, lights and indicator function, oil and water levels on a daily basis.
- Problems must be reported to us straight away.
- Any traffic violations are the responsibility of the hirer.
- Anybody hiring a van must be aware of the lower national speed limit for vans. Please check Clarification of National Speed Limit For Vans
- When hiring a vehicle for use abroad you are strongly advised to familiarise yourself with the local traffic regulations and requirements of whichever countries you travel through. For example restrictions are in place in some countries relating to use of trucks at the weekend.
