INSURANCE
All of our hire vehicles are covered Fully Comp with an insurance excess.
V.A.T.
All rates quoted for our vehicle hire are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
DRIVERS LICENCE
All British Drivers must hold a full driving licence and be between the ages of 21 - 75. Foreign licence holders must be in possession of a national and where required an international driving licence. Restrictions may apply to some licence holders. Please call for further details.
Driving licenses must be presented at the time of collection of the hire vehicle.
If a UK photocard is held, we will need sight of the paper counterpart before releasing the vehicle.
License cannot be found?
Misplaced your license? We can check this with the DVLA to enable the hire arrangement to proceed, at an additional charge of £5.
IDENTIFICATION
Hirers are required to supply additional identification when hiring a vehicle. As a minimum we will require 2 additional forms, made up of personal identity and address identity. Acceptable forms would be utility bill (no more than 3 months old), passport, credit card or council tax bill.
VEHICLE HIRE PAYMENT
The estimated cost of rental at the time of booking, If booked by credit or debit card no further deposit is required. Payment can be made by cash at our office. If paying cash for the hire a £250.00 deposit is required.
HIRE VEHICLE LATE RETURNS
Late returns will be charged at 20% of the daily rate per hour plus, a full days hire will be charged after 3 hours.
AVAILABILITY OF VEHICLES FOR HIRE
Whilst every effort will be made to supply the model requested, in the event of it being unavailable an alternative model will be provided.
HIRERS’ OPERATORS LICENCE
The Hirer must be in possession of a current and suitable Operation Licence if vehicles in excess of 3.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) are to be used for hire or reward or in connection with the hirers trade or business.
OVERSEAS TRAVEL
Vehicles may be taken out of mainland England, Wales or Scotland, provided this has been agreed beforehand and in these cases there will be a surcharge. We will arrange green card insurance at an additional charge. The hirer must arrange their own European breakdown cover. Mileage over 200 miles per day is chargeable.
LOADING OF HIRE VEHICLES
The hirer is responsible for not exceeding the gross vehicle weight (GVW) of the vehicle.
EXTENSION OF RENTAL
The facility is available providing we are informed prior to the expiry of the agreed rental period (as shown on the rental agreement) and the necessary additional deposit is paid so that the insurance cover may be extended.
HIRE VEHICLE RETURNS
Instructions will be given at the time of renting. Hire vehicles can be left at the location and the keys deposited in our secure night safe. However the vehicle remains the responsibility of the Hirer until the start of the next day’s trading.
